Danny T Trapp born September 13,1981 is an American former professional basketball player. Danny was born and Raised and Paterson New Jersey where he attended John F Kennedy high school and was a member of the varsity basketball team as a freshman.
As a high school basketball standout Danny was in elite defender during his high school career he became the state Number one defender three years in a row earning him the honors to become an all-state player.
In 1999 Danny was named athlete of the week in the Star Ledger. Because of his solid play and phenomenal defense Danny caught the attention of a dozen division one schools He was the heart and soul of the team. After completing his four years at John F Kennedy high school, Danny went on to play at Notre Dame prep in Massachusetts for one year and went on to play college basketball in Oklahoma where he received his bachelors degree in education.
Danny continue his basketball career by turning pro in 2004 where he joined the Dominican republic nationally League after spending two seasons in Dominican republic Danny return home to the Garden state to work out with the New Jersey Nets.
In 2006 Danny decided to bounce around and take his talent on different soil overseas where he became very successful. Danny played on 3 Different continents 14 different countries and 12 years. Danny finish his basketball career in China CBA one of the toughest leagues to play in. After retiring from the game of basketball in 2017, Trapp went on to coach as an assistant in China NBL basketball league for one season before bringing his knowledge of the game back to the Garden State.
