Why Pioneer Academy?

Pioneer Academy is an independent day and boarding school for grades PreK through 12. Pioneer Academy facilitates STREAM education (Science, Technology, Reading/Research, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) to ensure college readiness and success in life.

Yes, Pioneer Academy offers 20 Honors and 10 AP Courses.

Yes, Pioneer Academy does accept International students from overseas as well as local day students and domestic boarding students

How do I apply to Pioneer Academy?

You may fill out an online application at our website www.pioneeracademy.org. Under admissions, you will see ‘’apply now.’’ You may also schedule a tour of the school by contacting Admissions Department via e-mail [email protected] or by calling 973-405-5169 x141. Walk-in tours are another option, and these take place Monday-Friday between 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays.

Teachers at Pioneer Academy instill passion for learning and self-motivation in students, which will lead them to achieve excellence in all their future endeavors. We believe that a rigorous academic environment is necessary to help students develop the ability to persevere and overcome the great challenges of today’s demanding global environment.  In short, developing our students academically is our first priority.

What Testing Is Required?

Students who are applying to K through 2 grade are assessed by our Grade teachers.

Students who are applying to Grades 3-1 are required to provide standardized test results SSAT, PSAT, NWEA Map Test, SAT, ACT, TOEFL or IELTS and/or take NWEA Map Test as entrance test

What services are offered by the College Counseling Department?

In order to produce the best possible match between each student, the college, and university, we offer personalized college counseling plans that are designed for strong college applications.

We also arrange all necessary materials for standardized test preparations, schedule practice test dates, analyze test scores, GPA, and course requirements for colleges.

College visits and presentations are arranged for all students and grades.

Helping students understand the principles of writing college application essays.

Do you have daily study hours for boarding students?

Pioneer Academy offers two hours of supervised evening study-time five days a week. Pioneer Academy also has set academic enrichment programs on certain Saturdays throughout the school year.

How is the environment at Pioneer Academy?

Pioneer Academy fosters a healthy, safe, and positive learning environment. With over 150 cameras and 24-hour security on campus, we are able to monitor all suspicious activities and ensure the safety of our students.

Does Pioneer Academy Offer Sibling Discount?

Yes.

  • First Sibling to Enroll : Regular Tuition Fee (undiscounted)

  • Second Sibling to Enroll : 20% Discount

  • Third and all additional Siblings : 40% Discount

* Please note: The Sibling Discount applies to siblings only (brothers and sisters, not cousins or other relatives).

Does Pioneer Academy have a dress code?

Yes. Pioneer Academy uniform consists of official Pioneer Academy navy blue chinos and the official Pioneer Academy polo shirt, which may be long-sleeved or short-sleeved.
