Pioneer Academy is an independent, co-educational, private, college-preparatory school for day and boarding students from Pre-K to Grade 12, located in Wayne, NJ.
Pioneer Academy is an independent day and boarding school for grades PreK through 12. Pioneer Academy facilitates STREAM education (Science, Technology, Reading/Research, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) to ensure college readiness and overall success in life. Pioneer Academy provides a well-rounded, character-building education through challenging interdisciplinary curricula, stimulating extra-curricular activities and community involvement. We seek to instill a life-long passion for learning, a strong sense of moral responsibility, and a welcoming of diversity.

Under admissions, you will see ‘’apply now.’’ You may also schedule a school tour by contacting the Admissions Department via email admissions@pioneeracademy.org or by calling 973-405-5169 x120. Walk-in tours are also available, these take place Monday-Friday between 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturdays between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
We offer enrollment both for Fall and Spring Semesters. Late applications may be accepted depending on availability of spaces. We offer Early and Regular Decision options.

Yes, Pioneer Academy offers 16 Honors and 13 AP Courses.
Yes. Although students may arrive as early as 7:30am. Extended Day is offered until 6:00pm.

Yes, Pioneer Academy accepts International students as well as local day students and domestic boarding students.
Students who are applying to K through 2nd grade are assessed by our Grade teachers. Students who are applying to Grades 3-12 are required to provide standardized test results SSAT, PSAT, NWEA Map Test, SAT, ACT, TOEFL or IELTS and/or take NWEA Map Test as an entrance test.
In order to produce the best possible match between each student, the college, and university, we offer personalized college counseling plans that are designed for strong college applications.
We also arrange all necessary materials for standardized test preparations, schedule practice test dates, analyze test scores, GPA, and course requirements for colleges.

After school programs are arranged depending on the needs of each student. College visits and presentations are arranged for all students and grades. Helping students understand the principles of writing college application essays. Assisting students with their college applications.
Pioneer Academy offers two hours of supervised study-time five days a week during the evening. Pioneer Academy also has scheduled academic enrichment programs on certain Saturdays throughout the school year.

Pioneer Academy fosters a healthy, safe, and positive learning environment for all of it’s students. With over 180 cameras and 24-hour security on campus, we monitor all suspicious activity and ensure the safety of our students.

Yes. Pioneer Academy uniform consists of official Pioneer Academy navy blue chinos and the official Pioneer Academy polo shirt, either long-sleeved or short-sleeved. Students are required to attend school in full school uniform every day unless otherwise specified. Financial aid applications should be submitted at the same time as the admissions application. We will notify you of both the admissions and financial aid decisions at the same time.

Yes, applicants must be 5 years old by December 15th in the year they will begin Kindergarten. And applicants must be 3 years old by September 1 in the year they will begin Pre-K. However there are no certain deadlines to register in Pre-K as a result of aging in.
