Welcome to Pioneer Athletics
At Pioneer Academy, we believe participation in athletic programs plays a crucial role in the overall growth of our students. In keeping with the School's mission, Pioneer Athletics emphasizes the value of each individual and respect for others. We run an inclusive and varied program to suit all abilities and interests, helping students discover the sports that suit them and develop an enduring commitment to an active lifestyle.
Pioneer Academy encourages all students to participate in the athletic program at a level consistent with their ability and all athletics practices and games are considered school obligations.
Our attentive program strives to achieve multiple goals, teaching students how to work well with one another, test themselves both mentally and physically, and practice good sportsmanship.
Expectations
We have always valued the personal growth that athletics provides on and off the field. In a culture of supportive and nurturing instruction, students of all levels of experience are taught to be leaders, compete as proud ambassadors of Pioneer, and experience the life lessons of being on a team. Whether you are trying out new sports or honing your skills in an existing passion, the bottom line is you will build deep and lasting connections with your peers.
Additionally, Pioneer Academy encourages students in their physical development through involvement in positive interscholastic competition. At Pioneer Academy, our athletic programs encourage students to develop healthy exercise habits, increase self-esteem, and stress the importance of sportsmanship while enjoying the challenges of competition.
Message from the Athletics Director
The Pioneer Academy Health and Physical Education Department is based on the premise that physical activity and participation are important for all students, regardless of their level of athletic skill or ability. Throughout various activities, students in our program will learn how to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives. Our Health Education curriculum focuses on six parts of wellness. Physical, Emotional, Social, Environmental, Intellectual, and Spiritual.
Creating a culture that allows students to grow outside of the classroom is essential to personal growth. Here at Pioneer, we offer students this opportunity in a safe, competitive, and fun environment.
