A Special Visit Concerning Fire Safety

Last Thursday, a firefighter by the name Tommy Neiman visited the Elementary and Middle School students of Pioneer Academy. In order to help the kids understand the dangers of fires and how to prevent them, firefighter Neiman gave a fire safety presentation in the auditorium. Not only was a presentation given, but he also gave the students the ability to go outside and learn more about the parts and functions of a fire truck. Fortunately, many of the kindergarten students were able to grasp the firefighter's warnings and advice and keep them in mind should a fire ever break out in school, at home, or in any public area. One student said, Never forget, it is very important that you get down and crawl during a fire. Another mentioned that, we should crawl because fire rises to the top of the room.We are glad that the students were able to gain such an eye-opening and valuable experience and we wanted to personally thank Tommy Neiman for his kindness and dedication in teaching fire safety to our students.Rza MollaevSenior Editor
