Local Children's Author Visits Pioneer

Last week, the elementary school had a visit from a local author named Jolie Della Valle. Ms. Della Valle wrote a book entitled, "Georgie and the Ants in the Pants" and performed an original song to the delight of our younger grades, requiring them to dance and sing along. When asked how she came up with the idea of writing both the song and the book she said, "my main inspiration is my niece".Pioneer Academy makes the 90th school Ms. Della Valle has visited to share her book and song with students. The students thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Della Valle's ability to connect literature to song and appreciated the opportunity to get the ants out of their pants.
