Life Savers Club Holds Blood Drive

This week, Pioneer Academy students were given the opportunity to give blood on Wednesday in our very own high school location. The blood drive took place between 11:00 am and 5:30 pm. The whole process for each student took approximately 20-45 minutes. Donating blood is always needed. People think of donating when there's an accident or emergency, but every community needs blood donors all the time. That's because volunteer donors are Americans only source of blood and blood doesn't last forever €“ only five to six weeks. We need a constant supply to be sure it's accessible when you or your neighbor needs it. Unfortunately, only five percent of Americans who could give blood, do give blood. We are proud of our turnout and that our students were able to help many of those who are in need of blood to survive. -Rza MollaevSenior Editor
