Throwback to our Tanzania Relief Trip
This week marks the 3rd anniversary of our incredible relief trip to Tanzania, organized by the Life Savers Club. A dedicated group of 24 upper school students made the journey, having completed a successful fundraising campaign that brought in over $20,000.The relief project was designed to benefit the local community and left lasting impacts on the people of Tanzania. The students worked diligently renovating a library for an elementary school, building a water well to benefit two public schools, and donating food to two orphanages in Dar es Salam. The relief trip was an eye-opening experience for the Pioneer Academy students.
Not only were they able to help those in need, but the students were also able to learn about different cultures and grow as individuals. The relief trip was an incredible success and Pioneer Academy is proud of the students' fundraising efforts and hard work in Tanzania. The lasting impacts created by this relief trip will be felt for years to come and we are excited to see what our amazing students can accomplish next!
After working hard for an entire week on the field, we spent the next 3 days to visit Zanzibar Island & enjoyed a Safari where we had the opportunity to see majestic animals including lions, elephants, giraffe among others, in their natural habitat.Thank you to everyone who supported the relief trip and the students' fundraising efforts. Together we were able to make a real difference in people's lives. It is our hope that this relief trip inspires others to give of their time, effort, and resources in order to help those in need around the world. By working together, we can all make a difference!
